Shining Stars is a children's theatre enrichment program that operates in preschools and after-school programs throughout the Tampa Bay area. Through the power of theatre, we help children build creativity, confidence, communication skills, and character.

We are seeking energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for working with children and helping them grow through imaginative play and performance.

Position Overview

This full-time position (32–40 hours per week) is ideal for active, outgoing individuals who enjoy working with children ages 2 and up. Instructors travel to local schools and lead engaging theatre-based classes using our curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead theatre and creative drama classes at preschools and after-school programs
• Follow and implement provided lesson plans
• Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
• Foster children's confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork skills
• Maintain professional relationships with school staff, parents, and students
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong team-player mentality
• Passion for working with children
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to follow lesson plans and manage groups of young children
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Experience in theatre, performing arts, education, childcare, or related fields is preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Compensation

• Full-Time Position (32–40 Hours Per Week)
• Starting Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience
