Preschool Assistant Teacher

• Facilitate activities from the lesson plan
• Covers breaks for Teachers as needed
• Helping to prepare or deliver snacks/put them away.
• Keeps the routines and structure through the daily schedule
• Teaches circle time, including music, calendar, Bible, books, weather, letter, number, shape
• Always keeping track of classroom attendance
• Interacting with the children constantly
• Helps children to heat up their lunch, encouraging them to eat their “growing food”, and providing paper plates, napkins, forks, etc.
• Sets up bedding and mats for nap time
• Wiping the table and sweeping under the table after snack or lunch time
• Cleaning classrooms and microwaves
• Creating a loving, caring, and Christ-like environment
• Being empathetic to all children regardless of behavior or age
• Helping facilitate developmentally appropriate activities; art, science, literacy, math, Bible, sensory, gross and fine motor
• Laundry, dishes, and general school cleaning as needed
• Substituting for teachers when they are out
• Helping with diapers and toilet training as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
