Preschool Assistant Teacher Part-time

We are looking for two caring part-time Preschool Teacher Assistants to join our friendly staff. Your availability must include afternoons 3:00-5:30 pm four to five days per week. Additional hours can be flexible substitute hours.

Montessori Children’s House is a privately owned Preschool in Bozeman, MT., located very close to MSU, with 3 age-separated classrooms for children ages 6 weeks to 3½ years. At the time you would be working in a team with one to two other teachers in the classroom .

Qualifications:

• A friendly nature, patience and love for young children
• Experience caring for young children
• Knowledge of best practices as well as the ability to engage young children and earn their trust
• Communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow preschool teachers and parents or guardians
• Enjoy working in a child care team
• Flexible and open-minded
• Enjoys spending time outside
• Will pass a background check

Tasks:

• Maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children.
• Performing creative and educational activities
• Preparing and feeding snacks and lunches
• Maintaining a clean environment for small children
• Demonstrating a compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
