Preschool Assistant Teacher

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and personal growth of students. This role involves engaging with students in various subjects, implementing lesson plans, and supporting their overall development. Teachers will play a vital role in shaping young minds and creating a nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning.

Positions Available

• Assistant Toddler Teacher for ages 18-36 months old
• Assistant Preschool Teacher for ages 2-3 years old

Shifts Available

• Part Time: Monday through Friday 9 AM - 2 PM
• Part Time : Monday Through Friday 2PM - 6PM
• Full Time : Monday through Friday, 9AM - 2PM, 3 PM - 6PM

Shift times are subject to change.

Requirements

• English or Mandarin fluency

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques when necessary
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development
• Support students with special needs by adapting lessons and providing individualized attention

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment
• Experience working with children in various settings, including daycare, tutoring, or camp environments
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories
• Ability to implement first aid procedures when necessary
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies
• Experience in sports coaching, dance, or theater can be beneficial for engaging students creatively
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
