Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum that integrates bilingual instruction in both languages to enhance language acquisition and literacy skills.
- follow a lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, early intervention strategies, and hands-on activities to support diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all children.
- Facilitate activities that support childhood development milestones, including social skills, motor skills, cognitive growth, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with families and specialists to tailor educational approaches for children with special needs or requiring additional support in early intervention programs.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards, and communicate developmental milestones clearly to parents.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies while fostering a welcoming classroom atmosphere.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or early childhood education settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within a bilingual or multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and special education practices.
- Experience working with toddlers or in toddler care environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori and Reggio Emilia methods, literacy education strategies, math instruction for young learners, and physical education activities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Previous private school or daycare experience is preferred; certification in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous. Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
