Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Create and maintain a daily schedule that includes playtime, learning activities, and rest time
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Monitor and manage behavior to ensure a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with parents to support their child's individual needs and development
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs, including autism
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and implement curriculum that promotes learning and development
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with positive reinforcement
- Organizational skills to manage classroom materials, supplies, and documentation
