This position requires someone who
- is proficient with technology and can navigate Google Drive, Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Excel as well as database software (we currently use Procare)
- has a customer service attitude to support our preschool families, guests and teachers through projects, data management, the processing of paperwork as well as timely communication
- has the ability and compassion to effectively communicate DSCP’s mission and vision
- is driven individually but loves to be part of a team
- is comfortable and willing to research products, programs, etc. online and over the phone
- enjoys working with children and families
- when a problem is identified, willing to offer solutions and brainstorm ideas
- isn’t afraid to pick up trash on the ground or plunge a toilet if needed
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Director
- Provide project management and administrative support to the Teachers
- Provide general communication support and assistance to preschool families
- Provide occasional classroom relief for Teachers as needed
- Other General Administrative Duties as needed
Detailed Responsibilities:
Provide project management and administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director.
- Manage calendars for preschool and Director.
- Ensure all staff meetings and appointments are scheduled and prepared for on time
- Be the first point of contact for communication and effectively pass necessary contacts to Director
- Work with Director to manage the preschool database and keep it up-to-date. Knowledge of Procare (our database software) is a plus but not required
- Brainstorm with the team to create schedules, events, etc. and work to inform the school community of upcoming events and opportunities
- Assist Director and Assistant Director with printing, photocopying, and filing.
Provide project management and administrative support to the Teachers.
- Assist teachers with printing, photocopying, and project management
- Maintain digital files and resources for teachers
- Update Teacher Training Logs and help with research and scheduling of occasional Teacher trainings
Provide general communication support and assistance to preschool families.
- Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all current and prospective families.
- Answer and respond to phone calls, emails, and other communications on behalf of the preschool.
- Assist families with questions, payments, and other needs.
General Administrative Duties
- Attend all-staff and support staff meetings as scheduled (and take notes as needed)
- Help maintain student and staff files
- Order supplies as needed and then organize and/or distribute them upon arrival
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Work Schedule:

Work Schedule:
12 hours a week average
Work week: Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:15am - 2:15pm during the school year August-May. Summer hours may be available.
May be required to work extra hours during busier seasons/projects.
All work is required to be done onsite when school is in session.
Additional hours may be available if interested in subbing in the classrooms.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
