Preschool Director

Job Summary
The Preschool Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role requires strategic planning and effective administration to meet the educational needs of young children while fostering a positive atmosphere for staff and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in education administration, and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Develop and implement educational programs that promote children's development in accordance with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Manage budgeting processes to ensure financial sustainability and resource allocation.
  • Lead staff recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives to build a high-performing team.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community to enhance family engagement and support.
  • Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to stay informed on current trends in early childhood education.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children by implementing appropriate safety protocols.

Requirements

  • A degree from a recognized university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in education administration or management within an early childhood setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management to ensure program viability.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills to develop long-term goals for the preschool.
  • A commitment to educating young children through innovative teaching methods and practices.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with staff, parents, and the community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $34,000.00 per year
