Preschool Director

Kiddie Academy of Fishers Sunlight is excited to announce the upcoming opening of our brand-new academy, projected to open in August 2026. We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Preschool Director to lead our academy through its opening phase and establish a culture of excellence, professionalism, and educational leadership from day one.

This is a unique opportunity for a strong early childhood leader who thrives in building teams, driving enrollment growth, maintaining Indiana licensing compliance, and creating exceptional experiences for children, families, and staff.

Position Summary

The Preschool Director will oversee all aspects of academy operations including staffing, enrollment, curriculum implementation, licensing compliance, parent engagement, and overall school success. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, professional, and deeply committed to high-quality early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful opening and daily operations of the academy
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor teaching staff
• Ensure full compliance with Indiana state licensing regulations and Kiddie Academy standards
• Build strong relationships with enrolled and prospective families
• Conduct tours, support enrollment growth, and maintain strong community engagement
• Oversee curriculum implementation and classroom excellence
• Manage staffing schedules, classroom ratios, and operational procedures
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
• Support staff development, coaching, and ongoing training initiatives
• Ensure professionalism, organization, and positive school culture throughout the academy

Qualifications

Candidates must meet Indiana Director Qualification requirements, including:

• Minimum age of 21 years old
• One of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education; OR
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 credit hours in early childhood-related coursework or CDA credential; OR
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an early childhood program
• Prior leadership experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
• Strong understanding of Indiana childcare licensing regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with enrollment management and staff supervision strongly preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass all required background checks and state clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Director experience in a large childcare center or franchise preschool
• Experience opening a new preschool location
• Familiarity with curriculum coaching and teacher development
• Strong community networking and relationship-building abilities

Expected Opening Timeline

Kiddie Academy of Fishers Sunlight is anticipated to open in August 2026. The selected Director may begin prior to opening to assist with hiring, enrollment, licensing preparation, and operational setup.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
