Preschool Dual Role Teacher (Starting 2026-2027)

As a Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP) Teacher you play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction to four-year-old children to ensure they are prepared for kindergarten. We pride ourselves on creating a space where every single child feels like they truly belong from the moment they walk through the door.

This is an integrated role, where the teacher is responsible for serving both general education students and special education students. The teacher will be responsible for writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) including delivering specially designed instruction. We value serving our students within their least restrictive environments and ensuring that our students with disabilities have access to our general education curriculum and their classroom peers.

Curriculum & Instruction: Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the Iowa Early Learning Standards (IELS)
Assessment: Conduct ongoing student assessments (such as GOLD) to monitor progress and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including those of students with IEPs.

Qualifications: Must hold a valid Iowa Teaching License and have or being willing to obtain one of the following endorsements -
100 - PreK through 3rd grade, including special education
1001 - Birth through 3rd grade inclusive settings
