Preschool & Elementary Culinary Teacher P/T

Job Summary
Do you love working with children, food, science, and creativity? Culinary Kids Academy is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and engaging instructors to help teach our hands-on STEM-based culinary enrichment programs at elementary and middle schools throughout Central Florida.

This is not a traditional cooking job. Our instructors combine food, science, history, nutrition, and hands-on learning to create exciting educational experiences that inspire children to explore the world through food.

About Culinary Kids Academy
Culinary Kids Academy provides STEM-accredited culinary enrichment classes designed to teach children cooking skills, nutrition, food history, kitchen science, teamwork, and confidence in a fun and engaging environment. Our programs are taught in schools and educational settings throughout Central Florida.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun and interactive culinary enrichment classes for students ages 4–14
• Teach basic cooking techniques, food science concepts, and nutrition education
• Prepare and organize classroom materials and ingredients
• Create a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
• Manage student behavior in a professional and engaging manner
• Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by Culinary Kids Academy
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards during classes
• Communicate professionally with school staff and parents when needed

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational, camp, childcare, culinary, or coaching environment preferred but not necessary
• Passion for food, education, and hands-on learning that impacts children for life
• Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable speaking in front of children
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and transport class supplies when needed
• Must pass a background screening
• Culinary experience is a plus but not required
• Teaching, education, theater, camp counseling, hospitality, or public speaking experience highly valued

Schedule

• Part-time M - F, hours between 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Most classes held between 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• Flexible scheduling based on school assignments
• School-year calendar with opportunities for camps and special events

Pay

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
