Preschool Employee (Floater, Assistant Teacher or Lead Teacher)

Join our vibrant Christ-lead early childhood education team as a Preschool Employee, serving as either a Floater, Assistant Teacher, or Lead Teacher. Whether supporting classroom activities, developing curriculum, leading bible stories or providing individualized attention, your energy and dedication will help foster a love of the gospel, learning and support the holistic development of children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical development.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Engage with children through play-based activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning across various domains including Abeka, Friendzy & A Reason for Handwriting standard educational practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation among children.
  • Communicate effectively using our ProCare system with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
  • Assist with daily childcare routines which may include diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure comfort and safety for all children.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with young children in preschool settings or daycare environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with families.
  • Ability to adapt to various classroom roles as needed—whether as a floater covering different age groups or supporting lead teachers.
  • Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for Jesus as Lord and Savior, early childhood education and child welfare; patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude are essential. Join us in shaping bright futures! Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
