The Education Station at the IC is seeking a passionate Teacher to join our warm and collaborative early childhood education center. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can thrive. Key Responsibilities – Early Childhood Educator
Creating a Supportive Learning Environment
- Establish a positive, safe, and welcoming space where children feel valued and inspired to explore.
- Arrange classrooms to promote engagement, with designated spaces for varied activities.
- Select and use materials that encourage creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving.
Collaboration, Supervision, and Communication
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, specialists, and administrators to plan and implement curriculum.
- Maintain open, ongoing communication with families, sharing updates and documentation through our Parent Communication App.
- Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practices and deepen knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach.
- Provide classroom supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Curriculum Implementation
- Facilitate an emergent curriculum based on children’s interests and observations.
- Implement project-based learning to encourage inquiry and exploration.
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Observe, reflect, and document children’s learning through photos, videos, and written reflections in our Parent Communication App.
- Provide individualized support and interventions to meet each child’s needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired or early childhood environment preferred.
- Clearance through the Office of Early Childhood’s Background Check Information System (BCIS).
- Signed health statement dated within one year of start date (renewed every three years).
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Ability to use technology to communicate with families.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to spend extended periods standing or sitting while engaging with children.
- Flexible schedule based on center needs.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more if needed.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids (blood, urine, vomit, etc.).
- Ability to adapt to unexpected interruptions.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
