Preschool Kitchen Cook

Fontainebleau Children’s Academy is seeking a dependable, organized, and passionate Preschool Kitchen Cook to join our growing team. At FCA, we believe healthy meals are an essential part of a child’s growth, development, and learning experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced preschool setting and understands the importance of consistency, teamwork, and attention to detail. This position may also assist with floating support throughout the school as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate breakfasts, lunches, and snacks according to approved menus and nutrition guidelines.
• Follow all CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) meal requirements and documentation procedures.
• Maintain compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, allergy protocols, and sanitation procedures.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs proactively.
• Ensure meals and snacks are prepared and delivered on schedule for all classrooms.
• Assist with meal counts, food program documentation, and kitchen record keeping.
• Support classrooms with snack preparation, breaks, or floating assistance when needed.
• Work collaboratively with leadership and teaching staff to meet the needs of children and the center.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial, school, childcare, healthcare, or institutional kitchen preferred.
• Experience with CACFP or other food program requirements strongly preferred.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and child nutrition standards.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable working around young children in an active preschool environment.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
