Our program seeks a full-time and or part-time, dedicated Lead Teacher with a minimum of 2 years classroom experience required. The desired Lead Teacher will guide students ages 2 - 4 yrs. Prospective candidates are creative organizers and thinkers who are passionate about designing and facilitating interactive learning and development experiences.

The Lead Teacher will respond to student interests by creating emergent curriculum themes as appropriate and with the support of assistant teachers. This role requires working closely with the program director/manager. As well as communicate and build strong relationships with families. The teacher must be energetic, employ humor, and exude professionalism. We seek an educator looking to join and contribute to a dynamic faculty. The Lead Teacher will model a love of learning, respect for others, and investment in the classroom and school community.

The Lead Teacher’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Multi-tasking, delegating, and meeting various due dates.
  • Integrating real-world learning and the surrounding community into the units of study, lessons, and classroom culture.
  • Co-creating and sustaining a clean, tidy, and organized classroom.
  • Maintaining a classroom budget.
  • Creating monthly bulletin-board updates.
  • Connecting and partnering with parents in various ways, such as email exchanges and parent conferences.

Qualifications:

  • New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education or Childhood General Grades 1 - 6.
  • Study plan eligible 90 Credits (Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field of study)
  • 2- 3 years of relevant classroom teaching and classroom management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field of study
  • Infant, Adult CPR/ First Aid Certification (preferred)
  • Prior Department of Health/OCFS Training
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google DRIVE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
