Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education and social & emotional skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Implement curriculum development strategies tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention approaches.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and emotional well-being.
- Assess children’s developmental progress regularly using standardized testing tools and observational methods; document findings for parent communication and program planning.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's individual growth, providing guidance on child welfare, daycare routines, and educational milestones.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or teaching aides, ensuring high-quality classroom management and instructional delivery.
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies to ensure a secure learning environment.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; at least one year of classroom management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education and social emotional skills.
- Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management best practices.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, staff members, and community partners.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures related to early childhood education and assessment tools.
- Background in private school environments or similar educational settings is advantageous; certification in early childhood education or related fields is required or highly preferred.
