Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role is vital in leading classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and developing and implementing curriculum plans. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to promoting early childhood development. Experience with special education, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Lead age-appropriate hands-on lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development activities
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging environment for children
- Implement lesson plans and educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among students
- Support children’s daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and bathroom breaks
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education
- Assist in developing classroom materials and participating in curriculum development efforts
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, private school, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with special education, behavior management, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus
- Experience creating and implementing hands-on experiential lessons preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom activities effectively and foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Relevant certifications or coursework in early childhood education or childcare are desirable
- Passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their developmental milestones
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
