Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with children to support their social-emotional well-being and address individual needs through early intervention techniques and special education strategies when necessary.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any behavioral or learning concerns.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring safety protocols are followed and maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom management.
- Incorporate standardized testing and assessment tools to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Lead activities that promote childhood development across cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language domains while supporting inclusive practices for diverse learners.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool and childcare settings, with a strong background in early childhood education.
- Demonstrated expertise in HighScope curriculum, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of literacy education best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to implement classroom activities that support childhood development milestones.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; state licensing requirements must be met where applicable.
