Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team. This role requires a dedicated educator who embodies Montessori principles and has proven experience guiding children in a Montessori classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Montessori classroom environment
• Implement authentic Montessori curriculum and teaching methods
• Observe and assess individual student progress and development
• Prepare and maintain the classroom environment according to Montessori standards
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff
• Communicate effectively with parents and families about student progress
• Participate in school events and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Montessori Teaching Certificate (AMI, AMS, or equivalent recognized certification)
• Proven lead teacher experience in a Montessori school setting
• Fluency in English - speaking, writing, and teaching at a professional level
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodology
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual capabilities in Chinese/Mandarin/Cantonese - a significant advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Experience with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
