Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among preschoolers.
- Implement curriculum development strategies that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and sensory activities tailored to various developmental stages.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques to foster respectful and cooperative learning.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address individual needs—including special education and early intervention—and support child welfare initiatives.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools and observational methods to monitor each child's growth and learning milestones.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, ensuring high-quality childcare and classroom management practices are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a minimum of several years in early childhood education roles.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate age-appropriate activities such as tutoring in core subjects or teaching physical education.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, daycare operations, and private school standards to ensure compliance and best practices in early childhood education. Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
