Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating and safe environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address concerns, and support early intervention strategies when needed.
• Oversee classroom management tasks such as lesson planning, maintaining organized learning spaces, and adhering to health and safety standards.
• Support children’s social-emotional growth by fostering a nurturing atmosphere that emphasizes child welfare and emotional well-being.
• Incorporate individualized plans to meet the needs of children requiring additional support or accommodations.

Experience

• Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or child care setting is essential, with demonstrated classroom management skills.
• Strong background in early childhood education theories, childhood development milestones, and curriculum development.
• Proven ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, large muscle activities
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
• Previous private school or daycare experience is preferred; certification in early childhood education or related fields is a plus. Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
