<Duties>

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive development for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
  • Collaborate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse learning needs
  • Monitor and document each child's progress using assessments and standardized testing to inform instruction and communicate growth with families
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers or interns, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on continuous improvement

<Skills>

  • Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies
  • Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
  • Strong understanding of special education practices, early intervention techniques, and behavior management approaches
  • Skilled in lesson planning across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners including toddlers and children requiring additional support
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and progress tracking tools in early childhood education
  • Demonstrated classroom experience with a focus on child welfare, safety protocols, and inclusive practices

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
