<Duties>
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive development for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse learning needs
- Monitor and document each child's progress using assessments and standardized testing to inform instruction and communicate growth with families
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers or interns, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on continuous improvement
<Skills>
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
- Strong understanding of special education practices, early intervention techniques, and behavior management approaches
- Skilled in lesson planning across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners including toddlers and children requiring additional support
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and progress tracking tools in early childhood education
- Demonstrated classroom experience with a focus on child welfare, safety protocols, and inclusive practices
