Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster in a Christian base, nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development.
- Implement curriculum development strategies tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention approaches.
- Manage daily classroom activities, behavior management strategies, and classroom organization to ensure smooth operations.
- Assess children's progress through observations, standardized testing where appropriate, and ongoing evaluations; communicate findings with families and team members.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and specialists to support each child's individual growth plans and welfare.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff while maintaining high standards of childcare, toddler care, and preschool experience.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, child welfare policies, and licensing requirements related to daycare and private school settings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori techniques.
- Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with children of various ages within daycare or preschool environments; familiarity with toddler care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing methods when necessary for assessment purposes.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies ensuring a safe environment for all children under your care.
- Prior experience in private schools or similar educational settings is advantageous; Montessori certification is a plus.
