Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing classroom environment. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood standards.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
  • Lead daily classroom activities, including storytime, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Assess individual student progress through observations, standardized testing where appropriate, and ongoing documentation; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children's development milestones, behavioral concerns, and educational goals.
  • Support children with special needs through early intervention strategies and coordinate with specialists when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, assessments, and incident reports in compliance with licensing requirements.

Experience

  • Prior classroom management experience in preschool or daycare settings is essential; Montessori or private school experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and behavior management.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices for working with children of various ages including toddlers.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs or require early intervention services.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and a supportive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and methods for tutoring or individualized instruction when needed.
