Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a vital part of our early childhood education team, you will lead classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and support the holistic development of children in your care. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles across various subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior management and encourages curiosity and independence among children.
  • Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress through observations, standardized testing where applicable, and ongoing formative assessments to tailor instruction effectively.
  • Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring safety protocols are followed and that the environment remains organized and stimulating for all learners.
  • Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enrich classroom experiences and support diverse learning styles.
  • Engage in continuous professional development related to childhood development, childcare best practices, and early childhood education trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
  • Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and community partners to support child welfare.
  • Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field; Montessori certification is a plus.
  • Experience with classroom experience involving toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
