Part-Time Lead Preschool Teacher (2’s Class) | School-Year Schedule starting in Sept. 2026 + Summers Off!

Valley Christian Preschool | Beaverton, Oregon, $22,500/year | 25 hrs/week

• Consistent school-day hours: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Steady monthly income (paid over 12 months)
• Paid holidays: Thanksgiving week, 2 weeks at Christmas, Spring Break
• 2 weeks PTO
• Supportive, positive team + small class size (8 students!)

Schedule

• 25 hours/week
• 20 classroom hours (M–F, 8:30–12:30)
• 5 hours planning/prep per week
• 40-week school-year position (September 2026 - mid June 2027)

Compensation

• $21 per hour
• Approx. annual earnings: $22,500
• Pay is annualized and distributed in 12 equal monthly payments
• Paid training (15 hours)
• Paid staff meetings, events, classroom setup, and theme transitions

About the Role

We’re looking for a warm, engaging Lead Teacher for our 2’s classroom. You’ll lead two classes of of 8 children alongside an assistant teacher, creating a joyful, safe, and play-based first school experience.

What You’ll Do

• Create fun, play-based weekly lesson plans
• Lead your classroom with confidence and care
• Build strong relationships with children and parents
• Communicate daily via app + in person
• Support social-emotional growth using positive guidance and communication (no shame-based discipline)

Qualifications

• 1+ year childcare/teaching experience or ECE coursework
• Strong communicator (with both kids and adults!)
• Creative, patient, dependable
• Reliable transportation

Requirements

• Lift up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable and physically able to assist with diapering and toileting needs of young children
• Pass background check + fingerprinting (CBR)
• Obtain (or be willing to obtain):
• CPR/First Aid
• Food Handler’s Card
• Required online childcare safety trainings
