Preschool Lead Teacher (3-5 year old)

Hands On Learning Center is looking to hire an experienced preschool teacher for students ages 3 to 5 years old. Job Duties

• Plan and assist in the creation of a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children age 3 to 5 year old
• Encourage self-expression and creativity through diverse activities such as art, music, and outdoor play
• Although most students have completed their potty training, we may require teachers to conduct potty training if student is in the progress of finishing their training
• Implementing the curriculum for your assigned class group
• Communicate with children at their developmental level, answering questions and guiding their exploration
• Able to enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order inside and outside of the classroom
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records for children in the assigned classroom.
• Attend to the personal hygiene of each child in your care, including changing diapers or soiled clothing and washing hands.
• Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the Center and state guidelines
• Prepare snacks and warm up student lunches as needed
• Supervise nap
• Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the child care rooms
• Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis
• Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units
• 3 ECE units for Infant & Toddler preferred but not required
• 2+ years of experience working in an early childhood center
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for education
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• TB clearance and background check submission
• Obtain an associate or bachelor's degree or higher

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

• Hands On Learning Center is looking for a Full time teacher that can come Mondays to Friday, preferably for a 7-8 hour shift each day. If you are unable to meet these hours, please list an alternate shift schedule you'd like to work with.

• Early childhood education: 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

• Spanish, Chinese (mandarin) (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Early Childhood Teaching credential (Preferred)
