Preschool Lead Teacher Ft Pt

Job Summary
We are seeking a playful and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a warm, engaging classroom that promotes developmental growth, literacy skills, social-emotional learning, and foundational knowledge across various subjects. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children.
  • Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management strategies, and classroom organization to ensure smooth operation.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs—such as special education or early intervention—and foster strong home-school connections.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Incorporate age-appropriate teaching techniques for toddlers and preschoolers, including hands-on activities that promote fine motor skills, literacy skills, and social-emotional learning.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional best practices to maintain high-quality childcare standards.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning within preschool or daycare settings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
  • Expertise in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math instruction, behavior management, and Montessori techniques.
  • Ability to work with children with diverse needs including special education requirements and early intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures used in early childhood assessment environments.
  • Experience in teaching physical education activities that promote motor skill development and overall health.
  • Knowledge of toddler care practices and childcare regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
