Preschool /Pre K Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Pre K Teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a strong focus on supporting childhood development and literacy. This role involves creating age-appropriate lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with parents and staff to promote the overall welfare of our students. A background in special education, early intervention, or Montessori methods is highly valued. The Preschool /Pre K Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the foundational strategies and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Plan and execute daily lesson plans that align with educational standards and support individual student needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Foster early childhood development by encouraging curiosity, independence, and social skills among students.
  • Utilize classroom management strategies to maintain an organized, clean, and stimulating learning space.
  • Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and informal evaluations; communicate findings with parents and staff.
  • Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new teaching methods and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and child welfare policies.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in preschool/Pre K or
  • environments is required.
  • PDIS Level 3 or higher preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education is essential.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and physical education are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations including toddlers care or children requiring specialized support such as special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
