Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.
- Facilitate interactive classroom experiences that incorporate learning technology and laboratory activities to enhance student engagement.
- Guide students through scientific research projects, dissections, and laboratory experiments in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and molecular biology.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that accommodates diverse learning needs including special education students.
- Mentor students in academic advising sessions and provide tutoring support in math topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, and trigonometry.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student performance data, and laboratory safety compliance.
- Engage with library services and research resources to stay current with scientific advancements and educational best practices.

- Proven classroom experience teaching STEM subjects at the middle school or high school level in private or public school settings.
- Strong background in science disciplines such as cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and dissection techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in mathematics including algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, and discrete math.
- Experience integrating learning technology tools into lesson plans to enhance instruction and student understanding.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and curriculum assessment strategies.
- Prior involvement in research laboratory settings or scientific research projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Skilled in classroom management techniques that promote a positive learning environment while maintaining high standards of discipline.
- Experience mentoring students through academic advising or tutoring sessions; knowledge of special education strategies is a plus.
