Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-time Toddler Teacher to join our educational team at our growing Christian Preschool. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, focusing on their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This position requires a strong commitment to child welfare and the ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote early childhood education.

Duties

  • Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans for toddler-aged students.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their development.
  • Implement classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for students.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in childhood development and early intervention strategies.
  • Work with parents to assist children with potty training.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices.
  • Experience working with students in a preschool or early childhood setting.
  • Proficiency in behavior management techniques tailored for young children.
  • Familiarity with preschool curriculum standards and teaching methods.
  • Ability to provide toddler care with compassion and patience.
  • Excellent communication skills for educating both children and engaging with parents.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners.

Requirements:

  • Must meet all State of California Licensing requirements; infant and toddler ECE units preferred.
  • Applicants must be able to manipulate, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Applicants must possess valid and up-to-date Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment training certificates. Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply if they believe they can acquire these certifications prior to the date of employment.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and exhibit a "whatever it takes" attitude.
  • Must be (or become) CPR and First-Aid certified.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, credit check, and FBI check.
  • This is an in-person position in Sunnyvale, CA 94087: must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Evenings as needed for occasional special events such as back to school night or monthly staff meetings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
