Mountain Minis Early Learning Academy is a warm, community-focused early learning center nestled in Bailey, Colorado. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive, family-style environment for our children, families, and staff. Our mission is to nurture, educate, and prepare young learners for their journey into kindergarten and beyond in a safe, trusted, developmentally rich setting.
We are currently seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team and serve as a key educator in our preschool program (ages 2.5–5).
Position: Preschool Lead Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and hands-on activities for preschool children (we also use Experience Curriculum)
- Build a warm, positive, and inclusive classroom culture
- Create opportunities for social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Provide individualized support for children who need additional guidance
- Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress
- Maintain strong and professional communication with families
- Ensure a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Prepare weekly lesson plans in advance using curriculum guidelines
- Support children’s emotional needs and provide consistent, nurturing care
- Work collaboratively with teammates and uphold licensing standards
Qualifications
- ECT-qualified (Early Childhood Teacher) under Colorado state regulations
- Must pass required background checks
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Prior experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning program
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom-management skills
- Ability to create engaging, play-based, and structured learning experiences
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching young children
