Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Utilize Montessori techniques and other educational frameworks to enhance children's learning experiences.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement strategies to promote good conduct.
• Conduct regular assessments of student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student development and address any concerns.
• Facilitate physical education activities that promote gross motor skills and overall health.
• Support early intervention strategies for children who may require additional assistance in their learning journey.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Have 12 semester units or 18 quarter units of early childhood education
• Ability to pass a background check
• Completion of pre-employment assessments

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Experience with Montessori methods is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental stages of preschool children.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
