Preschool Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher working with children ages 3-5 to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. classroom management, and curriculum development. This role involves fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in preschool-aged students through innovative lesson planning and hands-on activities. The Preschool Teacher will collaborate with parents and staff to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. A strong commitment to child welfare, safety, and developmental progress is essential to ensure a positive and enriching preschool experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Plan and execute engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
  • Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
  • Foster positive relationships with children to encourage curiosity, independence, and confidence.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress through observations, documentation, and standardized testing when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate developmental milestones and address concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum updates.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required.
  • Experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development is highly desirable.
  • Background in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and specialists.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
