Title: Academy Toddler Teacher

Reports to: Director- Love & Unity Kids Academy

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Academy Toddler Teacher is to teach young children age appropriate educational, physical, social, emotional and spiritual concepts with a Biblical focus. The teacher will be encouraged and welcomed to collaborate in a Christian team environment including community engagement, and family partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach and establish a Christian centered child development classroom that ensures. the implementation of a quality education that prepares all students of differing degrees of learning for the next step in the educational process.

Employment Standards:

Effective verbal and written communication. Bilingual in English and Spanish desirable but not required. Team mindset is the standard and is of great importance for this teaching position.

Qualifications:

Previous Education in Child Development: associate degree or bachelor’s degree in child development or related field of study. Two or more years of successful classroom teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.

Physical Requirements:

The work requires walking, including stairs; standing; kneeling, and bending. On occasion, heavy lifting may be required, with a minimum of 35 pounds. Full range of motion is needed, for example, interaction with children, notices posting, necessary cleaning and/or preparation during daily activities.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES: Possession of a valid California Driver’s license and qualify for insurability; current and clear TB test; and meet all Community Care Licensing standards.

The Academy Toddler Teacher Shall:

Maintain an appearance of cleanliness, modesty, and good taste. Demonstrate the ability to follow the leadership of the Director, listen and respond to counsel. Endeavor to represent the school in a favorable and professional manner. Respond in appropriate ways and exhibit appropriate interpersonal behavior.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
