Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports individual learning styles.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that enhance cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate classroom management techniques and classroom experience best practices.
  • Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention strategies to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes.
  • Manage daily classroom routines efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed in daycare or preschool settings.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments is essential; familiarity with toddler care is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within early childhood education settings.
  • Experience with special education programs or early intervention initiatives is preferred to support diverse learner needs.
  • Knowledge of Montessori principles or other educational philosophies such as literacy education or teaching physical education is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and students’ families.
  • Proven ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a nurturing environment conducive to childhood development.
  • Classroom experience in private schools or daycare centers enhances your candidacy; certification in early childhood education is a plus. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
