Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers, incorporating Montessori methods and other educational philosophies as appropriate.
- Foster strong communication with children to support their emotional welfare, behavior management, and overall growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor progress through assessments and standardized testing when applicable.
- Support children with special education needs or early intervention programs to ensure all students receive the necessary care and attention.
- Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, student progress, and incident reports in compliance with childcare regulations.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques to create an organized learning environment.
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in private schools or daycare centers will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members while fostering a positive educational atmosphere.
