Preschool Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with special needs. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of all students. This role requires effective communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to collaborate with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with special education staff to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and childcare staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working in private schools or daycare settings is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
• Familiarity with behavioral health strategies for supporting children’s emotional well-being.
• Experience working with children who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with parents and colleagues.
• A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
