Stokes Child Development Center is Seeking a Preschool teacher for our three's program.
Position Overview: As a preschool teacher, your primary role is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children age three. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children in your care. You will also collaborate with parents and other staff members to create a positive and engaging learning experience for preschoolers.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the preschool's educational goals and promotes the development of cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
Design and prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and educational resources to support the curriculum.
Create engaging activities and educational experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Set clear expectations for behavior and reinforce positive discipline techniques.
Manage daily routines and transitions effectively to ensure a smooth flow of activities.
Child Development: Observe and assess individual children's progress, identifying areas for growth and development.
Provide individualized support and attention to meet the diverse needs of each child.
Foster social and emotional development by promoting positive relationships, conflict resolution, and empathy among children.
Parent Communication and Involvement: Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and development.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates through newsletters, emails, or parent-teacher meetings.
Collaborate with parents to support and reinforce learning at home.
Collaboration and Professional Development: Work collaboratively with other preschool staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning environment.
Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.50 per hour
