Preschool Teacher

We are looking for a passionate, responsible, energetic Preschool Educator. Full time or part time position and eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits.

One Hundred Leaves Preschool offers an innovative and emerging program for children ages 2 to 5, founded on the arts and conscious exploration, built on inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach to learning.

The ideal candidate would have the following requirements:

• Bilingual: Spanish/English. All classes are taught exclusively in Spanish
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a classroom setting
• Understanding of the Reggio-Emilia methodology for learning
• Passion for guiding children in their self-development
• Trustworthy, reliable, innovative and committed to children
• Experienced with Conscious Discipline, a comprehensive classroom management approach supporting social emotional growth

Job Responsibilities

• Have a flexible and open mindset to new approaches to helping children reach their potential
• Empower students by establishing trusting, respectful relationships that nurture their responsibility and joy in their own learning
• Alongside co-teachers prepare and develop unique lesson plans and provocations based on observations and documentation
• Work alongside with lead teacher for the class
• Guide children in developing their social, physical, intellectual and emotional skills
• Communicate and collaborate with parents
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of classroom materials

Shift: This is a full time or part-time position.

Hours: Ranging from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Pay range: $16-$21/hour.
