Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a preschool teacher. DCF completed 45 hours is required for this job position.

Duties

• Assist in implementing the Reading Corner curriculum on a daily basis.
• Maintain accurate student attendance records and documentation in Brightwheel application.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to families about academic progress.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment for all students and promote academic growth.
• Implement appropriate behavior management techniques.
• Collaborate with directors, other staff members, and families to build relationships in order to foster a positive school experience.
• Participate in frequent professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
• Assist with daily cleaning of facility in order to ensure classrooms are sanitized each day.

Skills

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Previous experience working in a preschool setting us preferred, but not required.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and use behavior management techniques.
• Understanding of implementing curriculum in a classroom setting.
• High energy teacher who creates an environment where students love to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
