Preschool Teacher

We are searching for a full time Preschool Teacher to join our staff. We are a private preschool / daycare in Orange and have been servicing our community with quality care of our youngest students since 1980, when the preschool first opened.

We are searching for loving and patient teachers. We provide and maintain a clean and safe classroom environment. Our team is looking for early childhood teachers that possess a genuine passion for caring for children, excellence in establishing solid relationships with parents, children, and staff, good classroom management skills, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Assist and supervise children during all activities
• Provide positive guidance to children
• Plan, prepare, and implement appropriate age-level curriculum materials and classroom activities with teaching team to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner
• Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, organization, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained
• Complete all required classroom paperwork (i.e.: attendance, health checks, lesson plans, accident reports, infant feeding reports, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must meet all California state requirements for the position – 12 ECE units completed.
• Must be able to interact warmly, appropriately, and professionally with students of all ages (6 weeks to 6 years) and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
• Must complete a health check screening and be able to lift no less than 35 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
• Experience in childcare is a must
• Must pass a complete background check to be eligible for this position- no exemptions allowed
• Teacher- all of the above including completion of 12 ECE units.

Education:

• A minimum of 12 core ECE units from an accredited institution is required. Teachers not qualified per Title 22 must be willing to complete any remaining ECE courses in a timely manner.

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
