Preschool Teacher

Job Overview
Family Lyceum, a private school that honors God, Family, and Country, is seeking a talented, passionate Lead Teacher/Mentor for our Montessori style preschool. Mentors do more than teach; they connect personally with each student and help them individualize their education.

Preschool teacher. Should be available to teach ideally 9:00-12:00 Mon-Thurs. Compensation for this position is based on enrollment at approximately $93 per workday if the class is full. Teaching experience required, Montessori experience preferred.

Duties

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
• Provide early intervention strategies for students who require additional support.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs.

Skills

• Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
• Strong background in tutoring or providing individualized instruction is preferred.
• Proficiency in curriculum development to create effective learning experiences.
• Familiarity with private school settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of literacy education techniques to enhance reading and writing skills.
• Experience in lesson planning that meets the needs of all students, including those requiring special education services.
• Ability to implement early intervention strategies for at-risk students.
• Competence in utilizing various learning technologies to support instruction.

Applicants should be available to teach at least two days a week.
