Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to support holistic childhood development.
- Plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and include activities for toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Support early intervention strategies and special education needs by adapting teaching methods and collaborating with specialists when necessary.
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure clear understanding of progress and needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor growth and inform instruction.
- Promote child welfare by ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times within the daycare or preschool setting.
Experience
- Prior classroom management experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as literacy education or toddler care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and external specialists.
