Preschool Teacher

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for students
• Follow the daily schedule and complete required documentation
• Implement provided curriculum
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

• Must be patient and stay calm under pressure
• Must work well with others, specifically co-teachers, supervisors, and parents
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Must be able to manage sensitive information with integrity
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to bend, twist, and kneel
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods of time including sitting on the floor
• Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors
• Must be able to proficiently use Procare, our childcare app (training provided)
• Must be able to see and hear well enough to keep students safe
• Must be able to change a diaper, serve food, & provide first aid (training provided)
• Must be able to sweep, wipe down surfaces, and vacuum

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, year-round not including school holidays or weather closure days
• 8:00-4:30

Experience:

• Childcare experience preferred
• References required

Education/License/Certification:

• High school diploma or GED required
• College-level early childhood courses preferred
• CPR certification preferred

Compensation:

• $12 - $15/hour depending on qualifications
• Paid every other Friday (bi-weekly)
