Job Description:

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Preschool has an opening for a preschool teacher! We are looking for a candidate who loves teaching and brings a positive energy to the classroom and a willingness to be an integral part of the team of two. The position is part-time, non-exempt, during the school year only (August – May). The hours are Monday-Friday mornings (approx. 8:30-12:15 T/Th, 8:00-2:15 MWF ), approx. 26 hours per week. The applicant will report to the OSLP Director.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the requirements for Early Childhood Teacher as required by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood. Applicants should have classroom experience with preschool age children and be comfortable with some Christian-based teaching. Applicants must pass a federal background check. CPR certification is required within 30 days of hiring.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

-Plan and implement preschool learning activities, curriculum development, lesson plans, field trips and activities

-Prepare materials for classes, outside of classroom hours if needed

-Collaborate with the director to ensure that all students receive a high-quality education

-Build positive relationships with students, families, coworkers, congregation and the

community

-Conform to state and local regulations

-Provide a safe, clean classroom environment

-Maintain appropriate records

-Communicate regularly with parents and assist with parent/teacher conferences twice a year

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
