Responsibilities

  • Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
  • Support children’s social-emotional growth by applying early intervention strategies and child welfare best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop tailored curricula that address individual needs, including special education and toddler care.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s development, milestones, and classroom activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages active learning and child engagement.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a minimum of one year in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong background in early childhood education principles, including childhood development theories and teaching physical education.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and hands-on activities like tutoring or lesson planning.
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to create a nurturing learning atmosphere.
  • Prior private school or Montessori experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community resources.
