Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans, promoting child welfare, and supporting the developmental needs of children aged 2.5 to 5 years.

Duties

• Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on activities and play-based learning.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning at home.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide individualized support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a private school setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the Virginia Department of Education Standards is a plus.
• Strong skills in preschool instruction and toddler care are advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for child welfare and the ability to create positive relationships with children.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not required at the time of hire as we will provide that training before the school year begins.
