At Creative Kids, teaching is a collaborative experience. As a Preschool Teacher, you’ll work alongside experienced teachers and assistants to create a warm, engaging classroom where children can learn, explore, and grow. You’ll help support daily classroom routines, contribute to curriculum activities, and build meaningful relationships with children and families.

Our goal is to create an environment where teachers feel supported, respected, and part of a strong team working together to provide high-quality early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily classroom routines
  • Assist in observing and documenting children’s development using Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG)
  • Help create a welcoming and inclusive classroom where all children feel safe and supported
  • Communicate respectfully with families and support positive relationships between school and home
  • Model positive behavior guidance and support children’s social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with lead teachers, assistants, and leadership to maintain a smooth classroom environment
  • Help maintain licensing standards and a clean, organized learning space

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood classroom preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or currently enrolled in relevant coursework preferred
  • Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG) preferred
  • Experience with or interest in HighScope curriculum a plus
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to teaching
  • Strong communication skills with both children and adults
  • Reliable, organized, and open to feedback
  • Meets DCYF licensing requirements (background check, TB test, etc.)
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to complete within 30 days of hire

  • 35–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
