Join our early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire and shape the next generation. In this role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, learning, and social-emotional development. Your expertise in childhood development and early education will help children build foundational skills that set them up for lifelong success.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum along with our adademic coordinator to support the whole child: physically, mentally, emotionally, & spiritually.
  • Assist in creating engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for students and staff.
  • Support toddlers and preschoolers with age-appropriate care routines, including diapering, potty training, meal times, and nap schedules.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns that may require early intervention.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and lesson plans while ensuring compliance with NC & NAEYC childcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings, including positive classroom management and lesson plan implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education needs.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, as well as NAEYC & 5-Star regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Prior experience in NAEYC and 5-Star centers is preferred.
  • Ability to handle diverse classroom situations with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Enjoy working with all ages - infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Relevant degrees and certifications in early childhood education are required. Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication transforms young lives!

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Childcare Teaching: 2 years (Required)

  • Pediatric CPR & First Aid (Preferred)
